THIEVES raiding Australia Post depots in Melbourne’s south have been caught on CCTV.

There have been five raids in just two months and police have released images from three heists in the hope someone can identify the raiders.

Hundreds of parcels containing online shopping and other personal items have been stolen during the break-ins from depots in Clayton South and Braeside.

Police have told Leader they believe all five incidents could be linked.

Thieves have struck on:

July 12-13: Venture Way, Braeside

August 4: Rosebank Ave, Clayton South

August 20: Rosebank Ave, Clayton South

September 3: Rosebank Ave, Clayton South

September 12: Venture Way, Braeside

Police say a Subaru was used to steal packages from the Clayton South depot on Rosebank Ave at about 1pm on August 4.

Kingston Crime Investigation Unit detective Senior Constable Tom O’Loughlin said although the August 4 heist was in daylight, it might be linked to the other four.

A white Kia van used to steal packages from Clayton South Australia Post depot on September 3.

“It was different in that this one occurred during the day and the offenders have made no attempt to disguise themselves as they did in the other incidents,” he said.

The Clayton South depot was also hit overnight on August 20ks and September 3, when a white Kia truck was used to steal a number of packages.

Police believe one of the men involved in the Braeside break-in on September 12 was wearing a grey hooded jacket, black pants, runners and a black scarf around his face.

CCTV images show another man was wearing a black hooded jacket, grey pants and a white T-shirt during the August 20 break-in.
