Australia Post does it.....again
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 31, 2016

I live in a unit block which has a manned reception desk. Every now and then, I have items delivered. The courier arrives, rings the bell for reception, door is opened by and courier ops the door and leaves item in the foyer.

Except for Australia Post.

Last week, I was expecting a parcel to be delivered by Aus Post.. On the order, I provide a clear instruction that when delivery is made, delivery person should buzz reception. To make doubly sure, I send a "redirect email" to Aus Post emphasising the "buz reception" instruction.

So Australia post apparently arrives, doesn't bother to buzz reception, takes the package away with them. Doesn't leave a card or message or anything.
A bit later I get an email in response to my "redirect" request is to say "we decided it wasn't safe to leave the item and it has been taken back to the Post office (Its a distribution Centre, open only Monday to Friday.)

I work Monday to Friday. I leave home at 5am, returning at about 6pm. So now I have to take time off work to collect something that Aus Post couldn't be bothered to get right.

But every other courier can get this right without any drama.

And I lodge a "complaint" on Aus Post Website. surprised that I got no response I lodged a second one. Next thing I am told they have been combined. But now a week later, I am still waiting for a response.

So, absent a solution from Australia Post (apparently they are still "investigating the issue") I took time off to present myself at the Australia Post outlet and collected the item.
I have to say though, that I cannot understand why Australia Post is unable to get this right. Every courier can do it, but Australia Post can't.

Item delivered to incorrect address, dumped somewhere or stolen!
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 31, 2016

Basic tracking said the parcel had been delivered. I work from home overlooking my front door. Nothing was delivered on the date stated. I even have surveillance footage (front door) to support the fact. Checked the local post office and all I got was a blank stare and told to call the 13 number. Asked if I could see the address it was delivered to. Nothing was in the system. Asked to talk to the delivering contractor, again was told just to call the 13 number. 13 number told me the sender has to call them. Item has either been delivered incorr ectly, dumped somewhere or stolen. No to mention taking $300 out of my families mouth. No wonder this company is dying when you choose to protect the contractors instead of grilling them over lost or incorrectly delivered packages! Most people get fired at their jobs when they cost their customers money! The sooner this dead company just packs up and lets someone else take over the mail service, the better off Australia will be.

60114714798091, 4013. It really doesn't matter, because all you will tell me is that it's "delivered". I have NOT I repeat NOT received this parcel. The contractor who delivered it hasnt come to my door on that date. As I work from home, and my office window overlooks the only entrance to my unit. I also have a movement activated security camera that sits in that same office window and there is no footage of any delivery!
he/she has either;
Given it to someone else;
Put it in some random place and said it was received; or
Has kept it for themselves.
This is not the first time I've had issues with parcels delivered to this address, and I have posted several times on here.
I'd like to have the name of the person who "delivered" the parcel so I can find out exactly what they have done with it!

Enquirey 07964435. It's a sad state of affairs when I have to get a PO Box in the next suburb to make sure I can get my mail. Not that the contractors from the Northgate store where even attempting to deliver them anyway!

Bad service
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 30, 2016
I saw the postman trying to stuff a parcel into my letterbox and started to walk out the door to collect it from him as I could see it wouldn't fit. Caught him in the act of tossing the parcel angrily into the front yard, not good enough Australia Post!

Australia Post Official
Hi Rose,
We can absolutely pass this on to the Delivery Centre.
Lodge an enquiry via our website auspost.com.au/help and we'll have this followed up on.

Epic redirection failure!
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 30, 2016
I had a parcel to be redirected. From Smeaton Grange they sent it back to Chullora for redirection. The next thing that happened is Chullora sent it back to Smeaton Grange again instead of redirecting it to australia post delivery that handles delivery in our area!
Is Auspost Chullora unaware of the parcel redirection that's why they mailed it out to the same place despite the request? I hope they won't lose my parcel.

Australia Post Official
Hi Lady L,
Could you let me know your tracking number for this parcel?

Bacchus Marsh VIC to Enfield VIC via NSW?!
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 28, 2016
Tracking info shows package (being delivered from 40 minutes down the road) has somehow gone from bacchus marsh (near Melbourne) to Sydney and are sitting somewhere in NSW waiting to come back to Victoria so they can get delivered to Enfield VIC. In another weeks time! Its a 40 minute drive!! 1.5 weeks to delivery it via nsw when it usually comes overnight? Well done auspost. Epic fail.

Hi Lia,
If you let me know your tracking number, I can have a look and help get this sorted out.

So Steph,
Aside from the above item you have lost (again) please explain this:
https://www.fedex.com/apps/fedextrack/?action=track&trackingnumber=784436619270&cntry_code=us
Purchased and paid for 24th October. POSTAGE COST US$19.85 AU$26.13
Delivered today. So from Washington USA to Rural Victoria in 7 days.
https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/track.html#/track?id=VQ60047018
Purchased and paid for 24th October. POSTAGE COST AU$26.20
Delivered today. So Melbourne to Rural Victoria (275 klms from sender) IN 7 DAYS!!!!!!
How can you expect the general public to accept your levels of service when you cant get an item 275 klms quicker than an item can get from the USA to us and CHEAPER!!!!
So you have so far lost one item and delivered one item in a pathetic time frame.
Also 60114644229092 was delivered today after leaving Port Melbourne and travelling 1000 klms to Sydney and back.
How much are these mistakes costing Australia Post?
How much are you trying to put up the rates to cover these mistakes?
Whats your reply to this Steph?

If they did not have the monopoly, they would run out of town
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 28, 2016
The postman never delivers that damn parcels. He is supposed to come to door of the house and deliver and get a signature. He just leaves a note in the box saying sorry we tried but no one was at home. We used to have an old postman who had the old values of providing a service, but this new guy, whom I have not seen, cos he does not delivery anything, is a right mongrel. I spoke to the post office where I collect the parcels that he does not deliver, and they tell me he is a contractor and does not listen to anyone.
My bunnies uses Fastway f or our parcel service, These guys provide a good service, I think the post office should either learn from these guys or move over and let other professional people who can do the job, get on with it. You are in the way of Australia moving forward.

Hi George Nice,
You should definitely be receiving a delivery attempt on all your parcels, to save you from having to make a trip to the Post Office.
If you lodge an enquiry through MySupport via our website auspost.com.au/help, then we'll be able to pass this on to the Delivery Centre and have the issue fixed

Thank you, I went to that site and it's useless. I live in Dural. This morning I had another card from the postman that I had 3 parcels and did not deliver. I was at home and it looks to me he fills in the cards before he set out on the road and delivers the card. This is shameful. You can contact me on [Contact Number Removed]

Don't snap at me lady.
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 28, 2016
I had been waiting for a parcel from Big W for over 17 days, did a track and trace and Aus Post eventually said they had lost it. I get home from work and there is an "Urgent Reminder - mail to collect" in the letterbox. Funny as I did not receive the first one. I ranch Churchill, Vic Aus Post and asked the woman how long it had been there and she snapped at me. "A long time" when I told her I never received the first notice her attitude blew me away with, "well I sent it to you" There is absolutely no need to verbally snap at people, I did not hing wrong, it was Aust Post who could not find my parcel and it was sitting at Churchill Post Office the whole time. That same woman has been short tempered with me before therefore the excuse that she was just having a bad day will not wash with me. Unacceptable behaviour. I will not be dealing with them again.

Hi Mandy,
This doesn't sound like the best trip to the Post Office!
Jump on MySupport at auspost.com.au/help and lodge an enquiry there. This way we can pass on your feedback to both the Post Office and the Delivery Centre (regarding you not receiving a collection card).

Non existent Customer Service
1 out of 5, reviewed on Oct 28, 2016
I was issued with a tracking number and received email alert that my package would be delivered on Mon 24th October 2016. On the day, I received another email telling me it would be delivered that day and was on board with Australia Post. Late in the afternoon I received an email saying that it had been delivered by Safe Drop.
It was not delivered and no card left in the box. I checked the local Post Office. No help.
I sent a complaint to Australia Post and received a Case No 07846990. After 3 days, no reply, so tried to follow it up. Received email back that could not locate case number. Said it must have been solved.
I assure Australia Post, it has not.
Very apprehensive about using them again.

Hi Bryan,
I've checked and can see your case is still open.
Could you please confirm the tracking number for me?

Steph,
I am patiently waiting for that photo I asked to be sent to my email address ( you have it on my account profile and also my phone number).
In the meantime I was having a further look at the tracking of the article and note that where my previous deliveries have had MY suburb noted under the delivery location, this missing delivery has a location which is some 45 minutes drive from here, nominated as the delivery location.
I would like to have this resolved asap.

Could you please confirm the tracking number for me?
Steph, I have already given you my case number (07846990) which you said was still open.
I have already outlined the critical information of this matter and you want me to navigate 'that help site again' and repeat what I have already outlined and then get another case number and then be told to wait and they will get back to me all over again.
As I said, you have my Account profile with my email address already supplied.
Please be good enough and simply send me the photograph to my email address.
Thanks..Bryan

Steph,
I received the photo thanks. The image shows a letter partly protruding from the opening and that is a letter I received from the RACQ on the 24/10/16 on the same day the packet was supposed to be delivered.
As I stated before the packet was not delivered. However I went to the mailbox a few moments ago to check the image and whilst I was there I unlocked the mailbox and mysteriously the 'lost packet' was in my box today 31/10/16.
I had checked it daily since the 24th. As it was NOT delivered to MY box, I can only assume that 'who ever' received it on the 24th has now decided to return it to the correct delivery address.
Conclusion, it is obvious that the Postman has misdelivered the article. There is no other answer.
Anyway consider the matter closed and thank you for your time and effort.

They don't even deserve one star.. thier tracking service is useless if someone from Australia Post decides to steal your package, my package made it across the world to there facility in Sydney on 4th of October never to be heard from again.
Surely this un-reliable, un-professional, inept company needs to be privatised?? I think a lot of people there are far to comfortable in their jobs to provide any kind of a decent service.
