The cost of postage and parcels, has gone through the roof.
It cost $15 to get something sent to Australia, and $95 to send it back.
The amount of things that get stolen, go missing, arrive at the wrong address is overwhelming.
The mythical "not at home missed delivery" carding crapfest - continues unabated..
So many small business's, have been unable to compete with international sellers, thanks to Australia Post's spiralling price rises, and these small business's have gone broke. It costs say $50 to send something city to city, and yet the same item can be imported for $5 - $15...
Parcels and packages are going AWOL for weeks...
The "Guaranteed Next Day Delivery" is utterly fucking worthless.
Nothing at all gets done about anything.... Repeated complaints go nowhere.
The national call centre "on hold" times have gone from about 15 minutes, four years ago, to an hour or an hour and a half.
Complaints to the postal ombudsman - Postal Industry Ombudsman, complaints about Australia Post have almost trebled since 2008, largely relating to loss and delivery issues.
