Was Changing to E-Billing a Cost Saving Scam ?
1 out of 5, reviewed on Jul 01, 2016
I received a Renewal Notice for my PO BOX which offered a $25 Gift Voucher for changing to a My Post e-notice instead of a Paper one. I had to pay the Renewal by the due date and get a Receipt and lodge my email address for the Voucher. I went in to the PO and was told the $25 didn't apply to me so my son took the renewal notice and went to another PO and it appeared the Voucher would be forthcoming when I lodged my email address for further notices. Having followed the instructions no Voucher was given and so we contacted Australia Post and r egistered a Complaint.
Since then we were told they couldn't understand why no voucher came and then I had Aust Post phone me to find out if I was who I said I was. Then they sent an email asking me which email address to send notices to. Having done that there hasn't been any communication from Aust Post about this. It does appear this was an elaborate scam and any further inquiries on my part have met with total avoidance from Customer service and or Complaints.

Continually getting cards saying an attempted delivery has been made. I have witnessed the contractor come to the door, dump the card, and then run. No knock on door, no ringing of bell. He can see that there is somebody home from the street. So I have to trek down to the "business centre" which as a grand total of five car parks (which are always full). Either I walk seven blocks or drive there at 6am to pick up the parcel that probably wasn't on board the van to begin with.
And for this postage has gone up.
Last time I complained I didn't even get the attempt to deliver card, only the card that threatened to send my parcel back.

Hi Rua,
I appreciate you would be annoyed with having to make an unnecessary trip to the Post Office to collect a parcel that you could have received when you were at home.
I'll be happy to follow up on this for you, if you can lodge an enquiry here https://auspost.com.au/help.
Make sure you include your tracking number, address and contact details when lodging this.
Please share your case number here with me and I'll ensure this is followed up on and addressed.
Steph.

Sorry, Step. Last time I followed it up that way, I didn't get any mail at all for several weeks, no cards saying I was supposedly not at home, and then a bunch of second notice cards saying that I had parcels to pick up immediately. Forced to trek in to post office in midsummer heat (37 degrees) to get my parcels.
Retribution for the complaint, methinks. I'm not going through that again.
I will say that the "attempts" to deliver my parcels are consistently before 7am. Today it was 6:59am. I wake at 3:45am. To assume that nobody is home when the lights are on, conversation can be heard and the smell of breakfast is wafting out the door is bordering on ridiculous. Unless the contractor is using the early hour to avoid delivering parcels...

This is definitely not what should be happening at all when you lodge a complaint.
If you change your mind then let me know - I can certainly escalate the matter for you.

Am currently on line trying to organise the re-delivery of a parcel that was clearly labelled "leave at front door". Needless to say, these instructions were ignored and I now am expected to leave work to traipse to the post office and collect something that was clearly marked. This service is totally the worst. First thing the totally unhelpful phone operator tries to tell me is that i need to arrange for items to be left at the door, one hour before delivery, and that would be if my crystal ball was working. Second, I get told that the delivery drivers won't leave the parcels if the premises are not safe. My front porch can't be seen from the street, so all in all, a load of rubbish. So not happy.
Guaranteed Next Day Delivery is a joke _ AUST POST DO NOT MEAN THIS

Have now posted 3 parcels that were "guaranteed" by Aust Post to arrive the next day and haven't, All Aust Post do if you complain enough is refund your postage, THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE. Aust Post need to be made accountable.

Coolum Beach Post Office stop the crap! I waited at home yesterday for a delivery and even left the front door open so I wouldn't miss it. Hours later I check the letterbox. Yes of course its a notice to collect from the PO. This is the 3rd time I have caught you out and I am furious. So furious that I contacted my online seller to tell them what you do and how it is actually turning me off buying anything online!! Next time leave me a card that says "I couldn't be bothered to deliver your parcel as it meant I had to walk an extra 2 metres". Forget that you are all lucky to have jobs and maybe really "attempt" to deliver something next time. When it says delivery instructions "Leave at the front door"...give that a go!!!!!!!!!!
Always Attempted delivery, a joke

Though I pay for deliveries to be delivered home, they never get delivered. Instead, I get a nice little card saying attempted delivery. I had to spend weekends to drive to post office to collect items. Sick of this service as the delivery driver always runs without attempting to deliver but writing the note. Even after many complaints no improvements. I have stopped buying online.
Delivery Times Are Joke

Ordered a post with express postage for the very obvious reason that I needed something the next day, or at the very most the day after that. I checked beforehand to make sure that the postcodes were all within the express post network; and the postage was coming from a neighboring state too.
Yet according to their time stamps/updates - my package has been sitting in VIC for 48 hours. As an express delivery it has been kept in the same spot for two whole business days. What a joke.

Australia post lost my parcels three times. I am very upset and won't be using their service again. Call centre operators have no idea what they talking about.
Stolen Parcel.

This us the SECOND time I've had a small international parcel (jewellery) disappear from sight after being scanned at Sydney Airport Aus post site. It has to be staff theft.
Lazy service, do not care attitude towards customer service

3 items posted June 7, three case numbers (including 05758014) raised against three tracking numbers waited 10 days as requested by AusPost, followed up ("We didn't call you??", makes the paying customer even more dissatisfied.) and discovered they've done nothing in that time. 3 items haven't progressed beyond the lodging post office (probably stolen at the counter as my LPO leaves people's parcels lying around while they attend to other matters). So now the enquiries are with the back room, a crack, specialist team who investigate behind the scenes... or play cards perhaps? As a small business operator trying to get by working two jobs, the Australian Government is very much not supporting me as a taxpayer.
express post is a joke

I run a business making bags and order from the same supplier in qld. Always express post. I have had more than one package not delivered within the next business day timeframe. Then am told that I cannot claim the postage cost as the seller has to..even given proof I had paid for express post. Truly diabolical service.
